Anchorage, Alaska — Today, U.S Senator Dan Sullivan’s campaign welcomed Lt. Governor Nancy Dahlstrom’s decision disqualifying Daniel James Sullivan Jr. of Petersburg from appearing on the ballot, a candidacy that had drawn credible allegations of an intentional effort to confuse Alaska voters.
“Every Alaskan has the right to a free and fair election, free from deception and gamesmanship. We thank Lieutenant Governor Dahlstrom for upholding that right and for ensuring Alaskans can choose their next senator without a sham candidate whose primary purpose was to confuse Alaskan voters, treat Alaskans with contempt, and rig the election for Peltola” said Billy Mackey, Senator Sullivan’s campaign manager.
“Senator Sullivan has spent his career delivering for Alaska — driving more energy production and resource development, securing historic investments in our Coast Guard and infrastructure, bringing the biggest federal investment ever in Alaska healthcare to our state, standing up for our fishermen and our military families and tirelessly fighting every day for the people of this state,” Mackey continued. “He is one of the most effective legislators in the United States Senate, with more than 60 bills signed into law. By contrast Mary Peltola had zero bills signed into law in her two terms in the U.S. House which is why Alaskans fired her in 2024. Alaskans deserve a senator who gets big things done — and that is exactly what Senator Dan Sullivan has done, and will keep doing.”
With that distraction now behind us, the real choice facing Alaskans comes into focus: a contest between Senator Dan Sullivan’s record of results and Mary Peltola’s record of inaction.
