Standing Together for Alaska: Federal Delegation Backs Senator Sullivan’s Re-Election

ANCHORAGE, AK – U.S. Senator Dan Sullivan (R-Alaska) earned endorsements from Senator Lisa Murkowski and Congressman Nick Begich (both R-Alaska) for his 2026 re-election bid against Democrat Mary Peltola. Murkowski swiftly endorsed Sullivan on Monday, citing their work together in the Senate, despite previously backing Peltola in her previous House races. Begich endorsed Sullivan on Wednesday, citing Sullivan’s strong record of delivering results for Alaska.

“At various points in Alaska’s history, our state has had an effective delegation that has worked together to deliver real results and right now is one of those points,” said Senator Dan Sullivan. “I’m very honored to have the endorsements of both Senator Murkowski and Congressman Begich, and look forward to working together with our small but mighty Delegation in the coming years to continue getting big things done for Alaska.”

“I wish Mary well. She is my long-time friend. That said, I have worked with Senator Sullivan for the past 12 years, and I strongly believe that a Republican majority in the U.S. Senate is in Alaska’s best interests,” said Senator Lisa Murkowski. “I will be supporting Dan’s re-election – just as I did in 2014 and 2020.”

“Results and record matter, and that’s why I’m proud to endorse Dan Sullivan for re-election,” said Congressman Nick Begich. “While my predecessor spent her time empowering national Democrats and failing to pass a single piece of legislation out of the House, Dan Sullivan was busy getting big things done for Alaska. From unleashing our energy by fighting for the Willow project and unlocking ANWR and the NPR-A, to securing historic investments in Alaska’s healthcare, military and Coast Guard, Dan has proven time and time again that he is an Alaska First, America First fighter who delivers for our state.”
