ANCHORAGE, AK — Today, Senator Dan Sullivan’s (R-Alaska) campaign released his second ad, “Nicks Story” highlighting Marine Lance Corporal Nick Woodard who shares his firsthand experience with Senator Sullivan’s unwavering commitment to Alaska’s veterans.
After a car accident left Woodward in a wheelchair, the Department of Veterans Affairs wanted him to relocate to Seattle to receive treatment. Woodard’s experience is one example of Senator Sullivan’s tireless work for veterans and healthcare for Alaskans. Sullivan became involved in his case and worked with the VA to ensure Woodard could receive the healthcare he needed in Alaska.
BACKGROUND:
With a distinguished record of military and national security service, Senator Dan Sullivan is a leading voice on foreign policy and a strong advocate for America’s national defense. He served as a U.S. Marine Corps infantry officer for more than 30 years, retiring in early 2024 as a Colonel in the Marine Corps Reserve.
Senator Sullivan continues his work on behalf of America’s servicemembers and veterans as a member of the Senate Armed Services Committee and the Senate Committee on Veterans’ Affairs.
