Alaska Support Industry Alliance Endorses Senator Sullivan for Re-election

ANCHORAGE, AK – The Alaska Support Industry Alliance has announced their endorsement of Senator Dan Sullivan (R-Alaska) for re-election. In 2014, the Alliance endorsed Sullivan’s candidacy for Senate, the first political endorsement made by the organization in over 30 years.

“The Alliance has been impressed with Senator Sullivan’s strong record of advocating for

responsible resource development in Alaska, and fighting federal efforts to lock up our state,” said Rebecca Logan, Alliance CEO. “We are proud to endorse him for reelection and will work to help him win a well-deserved second term.”

Sullivan earned the Alliance’s endorsement for his successful efforts to promote policies that grow Alaska’s energy industry and provide opportunities for Alaska’s families and workers, including opening ANWR and eliminating federal restrictions imposed on responsible resource development.

“We believe Sen. Sullivan is uniquely suited to keep representing Alaska’s interests in the U.S. Senate,” Logan said. “Senator Sullivan has worked incredibly hard to ensure Alaska stays open for business, which is not an easy task in Washington, D.C. He has always responded to our priorities and concerns with an open mind and willingness to work hard to effect real change.”

The Alaska Support Industry Alliance is a nonprofit trade organization made up of more than 500 members providing more than 25,000 Alaskan jobs related to the oil, gas and mining industries. The organization’s mission is to advocate for safe, environmentally responsible development of Alaska’s oil, gas and mineral resources for the benefit of all Alaskans.

The Alliance joins a growing list of organizations and groups from across Alaska and the United States who endorse Senator Dan Sullivan’s re-election. Recently, the United Fishermen of Alaska, U.S. Chamber of Commerce, Calista Corporation, International Union of Operating Engineers, Marine Engineers’ Beneficial Association, American Maritime Officers, International Organization of Masters, Mates & Pilots, and the Seafarers International Union have endorsed Sullivan.
