PRESS RELEASE: Alaska Native Village Corporation Association Endorses Senator Sullivan for Reelection

ANCHORAGE, AK – The Alaska Native Village Corporation Association (ANVCA) – which represents over 177 village corporations across the state – has announced its endorsement of Senator Dan Sullivan for reelection. Historically, ANVCA has not made candidate endorsements, but determined that it was of the utmost importance to retain Alaska’s most qualified elected officials.

“Senator Sullivan has proven his commitment to Alaska and ANVCA’s membership,” said Hallie Bissett, Executive Director of ANVCA. “Senator Sullivan has been an effective partner with the Alaska Native Community and proven leader in the United States Senate. We are proud to stand behind him in 2020.”

ANVCA joins the ANCSA Regional Association – which represents Alaska’s twelve regional corporations – in their endorsement of Senator Sullivan’s reelection. In making their endorsements, both organizations emphasized Senator Sullivan’s strong record of delivering results on issues important to Alaska Native people, communities and entities.
